Cozy terrace

In the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, SCJ Studio designed a new landscape plan that complements a contemporary family home created by Coates Design Architects.

The narrow spaces surrounding the tall residence required a clear layout and carefully planned organization of outdoor features. A concrete patio was constructed around a modern Paloform Bento gas fire pit, surrounded by lush vegetation characteristic of the Pacific Northwest.

A cedar fence with horizontally installed boards provides privacy from the street while creating the welcoming atmosphere of an outdoor living room nestled among the trees. Low-voltage LED lighting from Kichler Lighting further enhances the warm and inviting ambiance during the evening hours.
